MEMBERS OF ROTARY CLUBS VISITED KARLOVAC TO ATTEND LECTURE ABOUT TESLA
On April 12, 2017, a lecture was held in Karlovac in the Youth Library entitled "Before Niagara was Telluride” (First Tesla power plant in Telluride in Colorado and more on Tesla), a well-known scientist dr.sc. Drenke Dobrosavljević, from Novi Sad, Serbia, member of Rotary Club Zemun.
Present were the president of RC Sremska Mitrovica, Danilo Ljevnaić and trainee Jelena Tupenarac, as well as two members of RC Samobor and Davor Juretić, member of RC Zagreb. The lecture was well attended, including members of RC Karlovac and Karlovac-Dubovac.
The lecture was used to visit the Karlovac gymnasium, a physics laboratory, where taught Nikola Tesla. Some instruments in laboratory were renovated by help of RC Karlovac-Dubovac. The delegation was received by the headmaster of the gymnasium prof. Damir Mandić and Physics Professor Tanja Mihaljević.
On the second day, a delegation of Karlovac Rotary Clubs and guests visited the Tesla Museum in Smiljan and Vrelo Gacka.
