Computers and Artificial Intelligence
Nikola Tesla Association in cooperation with the Karlovac University of Applied Science and the Slovenian Home Society of Karlovac, held a second lecture in the cycle of science (STEM) at the Polytechnic's lecture hall, under the title: Computers and Artificial Intelligence. The lecturer was dr.sc. Vladimir Špišić. He answered five questions about artificial intelligence:
• Beginnings and expectations of artificial intelligence (AI)
• Why did AI not replace a man yet?
• AI today
• What can we expect in the near future?
• What can we do?
The conclusion is that AI is progressing faster but has not yet reached and respected a man in general intelligence. In some areas, it is already far ahead of people. Many routine jobs are threatening today. In the future, more will happen. That's why we have to adapt and learn the whole life.
